Meeting of the European WIZO Presidents and Members of Executives in ROME

Presidents and delegates of the European WIZO federations held their meeting in Rome guests of ADEI-WIZO, for two days of intense works.

The participants were wellcomed by Roberta Nahum (National President of the ADEI-WIZO).

Representative for Italy, in addition to Roberta Nahum, was Laura Wofsi of Milan.

Important speeches and reports was given by Helena Glasser (President of the world WIZO) and Rama Enav (representative of the WIZO at the UN in Geneva) that had fully exposed the activities of the WIZO during the Conference of Durban II. Various reports and proposals was given to the Assembly with regard to some important issues related to collection funds activity such as financial crisis (WIZO UK) coordination with other Jewish associations (WIZO AUSTRIA).

FIAMMA NIERENSTEIN, Italian politician, well known journalist and author speaked about her experiences as a Jewish female politician in Italy and about her campaigns against Anti-Semitism/Anti-Zionism

The substantial agenda included the election of a new steering committe and the discussion of a revised draft of the ECWF Constitution.
