Literary Prize

On the 24th of October and for the 6th year, Adei-Wizo has bestowed its Literary Prize which has been established by three of our great leaders: Adelina Della Pergola, Lia Hassan and the late Berta Sinai. This prize intends to promote the knowledge and understanding of Jewish culture and traditions among non Jewish people. Its scope is quite wide and ambitious, in fact is directed to fintion writers not only Italian, but also Israeli and Jewish from the Diaspora.
Last year the prize winning ceremony was held at the “Campidoglio”, the Roman Town Hall while this year, the sixth edition took place at th ancient Royal Palace in Milan, with great affluence of public, media and members of the literary world.
The event was organized in the same period of the exibition “Omanut”, an important show of art by young Israeli artists. This coincidence made the whole event a date which attracted a great deal of people and gave our Association great prestige. We have to thank all the executive of the Milan brunch for their effort and in particular Lia Hassan who is the heart and soul of this annual important event.
The books which won are:
1° “My first Sony” by Benny Barbash 2° “Le variazioni Reinach” by Filippo Tuena 3° “Hymn to joy” by Shifra Horn
All the three winning authors were present at the ceremony, which made the event even more memorable.
We are already working very hard to make next year prize ceremony a very rewarding experience again.
